Accessible Bathrooms & Mobility Wet Rooms in Dartford & Kent
Walk-in showers, level-access wet rooms and safe, dignified bathroom adaptations for elderly and reduced-mobility users — built properly, without fuss.
A Bathroom That Works for Everyone
The bathroom is where most falls at home happen. The right adaptation removes the step, the slip and the strain — so the person using it keeps their independence, safely.
Level-Access Wet Rooms
Fully tanked and tiled with no tray, step or threshold. A walking frame, shower chair or wheelchair rolls straight in. The same commercial-grade waterproofing we use on every wet room.
Walk-In Shower Conversions
We remove the bath and fit a low-threshold walk-in shower in its place — usually in under a week. The single most effective safety upgrade for an older person's bathroom.
Safety Without the 'Hospital Look'
Grab rails, fold-down seats and anti-slip floors now come in finishes that look like any premium bathroom. Safe doesn't have to mean clinical.
Built Around the Person
Comfort-height toilets, lever taps for arthritic hands, thermostatic anti-scald showers, and everything positioned to an occupational therapist's spec when one is involved.
Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) — Funding May Be Available
Many accessible bathroom adaptations qualify for a Disabled Facilities Grant — a means-tested council grant worth up to £30,000 in England. Here's how it works:
Contact Your Council
Apply through your local council — for example Dartford Borough Council, the London Borough of Bexley or Gravesham. They'll explain the means test and the process.
Occupational Therapist Visit
An OT assesses what adaptations are needed — commonly a level-access shower, grab rails and wider access. Their report sets the specification.
We Do the Work
We build exactly to the OT's specification with a written fixed-price quote you (or the council) can rely on — and we photograph each stage of the work.
Not sure whether you'd qualify? Call George on 07376 641877 — he'll give you an honest steer before you spend anything.
